Before Coming To The Community Center

You may not enter the Center unless you have made a reservation using the TownSQ app at this link. This applies regardless of whether you will swim, use the gym, sunbathe, supervise others or simply accompany others. During the reservation process, you will be asked to confirm your agreement with the “Waiver and Release of Liability”. Agreeing to the Waiver is a condition of using the Center for you and for anyone else in your household.

Perform a self-screening to determine if you have Covid-19 symptoms. A “Self-Checker” screening test is found at this link . People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with the following symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • Fever or chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headache

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Sore throat

  • Congestion or runny nose

If you have any of these symptoms, do not come to the Center. If it is determined that you have any such symptoms while at the Center, you will have to leave.

Arrive already dressed appropriately, that is, already wearing your swimsuit or in your workout clothes as the case may be.

During management office hours of 9am-5pm, report violations to (858) 461-4096. During weekends or outside of office hours, call the 24-hour emergency number, (619) 340-1907

Upon Entering The Community Center And While You Are Here

Regardless of whether you intend to swim and/or use the gym:

Arrive a few minutes before your start time.

Wear a face covering at all times except when in the water. Proper use of a face covering includes:

  • Face coverings do not protect the wearer and are not personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Face coverings can help protect people near the wearer, but do not replace the need for physical distancing and frequent handwashing.

  • Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth.

  • Wash or sanitize hands before and after using or adjusting face coverings.

  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Wash or discard after each shift.

Avoid touching as many surfaces as possible such as by wearing latex gloves and/or using a paper towel when using handles, door knobs, and other surfaces.

Before and after using any table, chair, and/or bench, spray and wipe down with the disinfectant and towels (or disinfectant wipes). Be careful not to allow the disinfectant to contact your eyes or mouth.

Wash your hands regularly with a disinfectant soap and water in the bathroom (for 20 seconds or longer) or regularly use the hand sanitizer located throughout the Center.

If you need to sneeze or cough, do so into a tissue or upper sleeve/arm area.

Stay at least six feet away from all persons who are not part of your household.

Do not make physical contact with others, such as shaking hands or giving a high five. Avoid touching your face or anyone else’s.

Do not share food, drinks, towels, or anything else.

If You Use The Pool

The main pool and kids pool are open. The hot tub is open for now, per County guidelines.

Do not wear any medical or cloth masks in the water.

Consider whether a scuba/snorkel style mask that will cover your nose or one that covers both the nose and mouth.

Do not share any equipment such as fins, paddle boards, snorkels, etc.

Swim at least six feet from anyone who is not part of your household.

If you need to sneeze or discharge anything from your nose or mouth, exit the pool and use a facial tissue.

Any monitoring of the pool area is simply for compliance with these protocols. It does not include life guard services.

THERE IS NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY.

If You Use The Gym

Before and after each use of a machine, disinfect it with the spray bottles and towels (or disinfectant wipes). Be careful not to allow the disinfectant to contact your eyes or mouth.

Wear your face covering at all times. If you conclude that you cannot exercise with it on, exercise somewhere other than the Center where wearing a mask might not be necessary.

Once your use of the machines is complete, leave the gym. Do not socialize or do a ‘wind-down’ stretch or similar activity that can be done outside of the Center.

After Your Use Of The Community Center

Regardless of whether you swam, used the gym, or anything else, wash your hands thoroughly or use a hand sanitizer before leaving the Center.

Do not use the locker room or changing area.

No extra-curricular or social activity is allowed, e.g., no grilling.

Leave the facility as soon as your time slot has expired.
